On June 7, NASBP presented “Navigating The Surety Underwriter’s Desk Book: An Invaluable New Resource for Surety Professionals, ” a NASBP Virtual Seminar demonstrating how to navigate the 1,265 page book to quickly and easily find information. Mary Alice McNamara of Travelers Bond & Financial Products and Chad Schexnayder of Jennings, Haug & Cunningham, editors of this web-based publication developed by members of the American Bar Association’s Fidelity & Surety Law Committee, delivered a 30-minute complimentary Virtual Seminar as a primer on how to use this compendium of contract surety laws for all fifty states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam and Canada. Summer and Fall Programming

NASBP Virtual Seminars are now scheduled through summer and into the fall on Tuesdays from 2 to 3 p.m. Eastern Time. The $69 registration fee includes the live presentation and prepared written materials and, if a registrant finds that they are unable to participate at the time of the Virtual Seminar, the recording of the telephone briefing.   • September 10 – “Disaster Preparedness and Recovery” presented by Bob Boyd of Agility Recovery
  • September 24 – “Essential Components of a Sales Organization” presented by Jonathan Dick
  • October 8 – “Environmental Issues” presented by Larry Howard of The Guarantee Company of North America
  • October 22 – “The New American Institute of Architects (AIA) Sustainable Building Contract Forms” presented by Joshua Balance of AIA and Martha Perkins of NASBP
