NASBP is pleased to announce that Michelle Stegmann, pictured below left, of NASBP Affiliate Crum & Forster Insurance Company, and Adam Friedman, pictured below on right, of the NASBP Attorney Advisory Council firm Chiesa Shahinian & Giantomasi, will be leading a panel titled “Insurance and Surety Bonds—How to Gain Protection for the Unexpected” during the Legal & Insurance session of the Risk Management in Underground Construction Course on March 11.
The course, which is organized by Ozdemir & Associates, Microtunneling Inc., and Benjamin Media Inc., will take place March 10-11, 2020 in Houston, TX, and provide informative panels and presentations addressing issues affecting large-scale underground projects.
This is the second year in a row that a NASBP representative will be speaking for the Risk Management in Underground Construction Course that reaches an audience consisting of underground contractors, engineers, project owners as well as insurance companies, law firms, and vendors. Rusty Lear, Executive Vice President of Flood and Peterson, said “I’m pleased that Michelle and Adam agreed to present at this year’s course.” Lear, who currently serves as Chair of the NASBP Industry Relations Committee, participated on a panel for the course last year. “NASBP is fulfilling its PR Campaign mission by explaining and creating awareness around the benefits of the surety product to construction organizations and influential groups like this,” he said. “Everyone involved with NASBP needs to help educate all project parties about the benefits of our product.”
