Michael Joseph Tully
It is with deep sadness that NASBP informs you of the passing of a surety colleague, Michael Joseph Tully, age 69 of Taylor Mill, KY. Mike passed away on June 5 at St. Elizabeth Health Care in Fort Thomas, KY. He had retired from Great American Insurance in Cincinnati, Ohio as Vice President of the Bond Division.
Gary T. Dunbar, Divisional President of Great American Insurance, said Mike leaves behind hundreds of good and close friends. “Mike spent 40 years in the surety industry, an industry that he loved. He was a regular attendee at NASBP’s national and regional meetings and also active in the National Association of Independent Sureties (NAIS) and the Surety & Fidelity Association of America (SFAA),” Dunbar said. “After 33 years of loyal service to Great American’s Bond Division, Mike retired in 2010 during which he continued to follow his favorite teams, the Kentucky Wildcats Basketball, the Cincinnati Reds, and the Cincinnati Bengals.”
Mike is survived by his wife Carol Murray Tully of Taylor Mill, KY; Sons: Patrick (Lisa) Tully of Villa Hills, KY and Eric (Tara) Tully of Taylor Mill, KY; 5 Grandchildren: Maya, Eva, Alia, Chase and Ryan; Sister: Judith Erwin of Cincinnati, OH and Several Nieces and Nephews.
A visitation was held at St. Anthony Church 485 Grand Avenue Taylor Mill, KY and a Mass of Christian Burial Interment in Mother of God Cemetery in Fort Wright, KY. Memorials can be sent to: Holy Cross High School 3617 Church Street Latonia, KY 41015.
