2009 Risk Workshop Receives Rave Reviews
The attendees of the 2009 NASBP Risk Workshop, “Analyzing Risk and Understanding the Bid Process,” evaluated various aspects of the Workshop and a majority rated the following key areas of the Workshop as excellent: instruction, relevance, topic emphasis, and workshop curriculum. One student’s written comment was, “[The Workshop] helped me understand the business from the contractor’s perspective.” Another student wrote, “[The Workshop] gave me an understanding of risk—when to take the risk, when to transfer it, and when to avoid it.”The faculty included Mark McCallum of NASBP staff, Washington, DC; Tom Padilla of Manuel Lujan Insurance, Inc., Albuquerque, NM; Leslie Shiner of Shiner Group, Mill Valley, CA; and Brian Wasserman of Leading Change Inc., Apple Valley, MN.
