Important Notice

CURRENT STATUS
Last Updated 4/1/2020

***NASBP is currently operating under a remote work requirement to help protect its employees and abide by current Maryland state directives, providing regular services during regular hours of operation.***

Please recognize, however, that this could change significantly with limited notice as conditions develop.  Meanwhile, to help protect NASBP staff members, meeting attendees and operations, the following steps are now in place or underway:
Basic
Measures

NASBP has shared advice from health authorities to its staff regarding simple but helpful methods to limit the potential for exposure and transmission of illness. For times when staff is permitted in office, anti-microbial wipes are being provided staff for disinfecting surfaces. Single-use facial tissues and instructions on hand washing and similar personal measures have also been provided. Staff have been instructed to remain home if they suspect they may have become ill, or have been in contact with someone who is suspected, or was determined, to have COVID-19.
Meetings &
Live Events

NASBP continues to carefully monitoring COVID-19 related conditions and information from civil health authorities, including the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC), to update existing plans as necessary to ensure the safety of our attendees and staff members. For specific information regarding important changes to the 2020 NASBP Annual Meeting & Showcase, visit the Annual Meeting website for posted updates. Note that Annual Meeting registrants are being sent regular updates via email, advising them of current meeting status and any changes made.
Operational
Contingencies

Like many organizations in the U.S. and around the world, NASBP is hopeful that the collective impacts of COVID-19 will dissipate soon, but is preparing should operational changes become necessary. NASBP has implemented contingency plans to continue our programs and services should it become necessary to have staff work remotely. If remote work is implemented note that:
  • NASBP regular phone numbers will remain operational. If prompted, please leave a message and your call will be returned promptly.
  • Our websites will remain online, and registration for events will continue as before, unless otherwise indicated.
  • NASBP email will continue to be fully accessible by staff, no matter their location.
  • Online Virtual Seminars and online conference calls and meetings will remain unaffected, unless otherwise informed.
